brief

An attempt at creating a sort of "organism" emulating device that would
be generated by sound and, at the same time, be the sound. The device is built
using old speaker parts sequeezed into a black box. The speaker rim sticking
out serves as a sort of cultivation dish where the organims lives and dies.

In one of my previous projects, I created a medium for myself that was both
opening and restricting me at the same time. This project feels the same way,
as I am forced to use high freequency or very low frequency sounds to create
the effect I need. It's interesting to work with medium

Originally, the organism component was made of non-newtonian fluid that was
composed of 2 parts corn starch and 1 part water as well as some colouring.
The fluid was reactive enough for a successful project, but after 2 or so
tests, the luiquid had damaged the speaker beyond repair.

Some attempts at insulating the speaker were attempted but the results were
less than satisfactory. A substitue for the "organism" component had to be
    found.

The project currently uses salt instead of a liquid. The salt is controlled
using sine tones to move it around a stretch piece of plastic on top of the
    speaker head.

Using certain tones, the salt moves into patterns in a sort of reactive way,
making the sound just as much part of the organism as the salt is.
